Role Overview
As the Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer, you will:
- Plan and implement critical network projects
- Analyze business needs, design and deploy infrastructure solutions, and provide advanced technical support for hospitals and remote clinics
- Ensure that all network systems comply with the latest healthcare security policies and industry regulations (including HIPAA)
- Proactively monitor network health, resolve incidents, and maintain thorough documentation
- Lead cross-functional collaboration on large-scale projects, working with executives, directors, and technical teams
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and implement network hardware and software with minimal disruption
- Develop standards and documentation for enterprise network architecture
- Provide technical support and lead troubleshooting for multi-vendor, high-availability environments
- Enable secure connectivity with enterprise-grade firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, NAC, and zero-trust frameworks
- Manage infrastructure monitoring and alerting strategies using tools like SolarWinds, Splunk, Wireshark, and System Center
- Deploy automation (Python, Ansible) to streamline provisioning and scaling
- Perform site visits across campuses and clinics
- Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience supporting network infrastructure
- Expertise in networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs), Windows workstation support, and server OS (Windows Server, Linux, Unix)
- Strong background in enterprise security, cloud/data center architectures (VXLAN, EVPN, spine-leaf), and network research
- Leadership and mentoring skills; able to present strategies to stakeholders
- Proficiency with infrastructure management/diagnostic tools and capacity planning
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in dynamic, high-pressure environments
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting large-scale networks (over 1000 devices)
- Certifications such as Aruba ACA/ACP; Juniper JNCIA/JNCIS; Fortinet FCF/FCA
Education & Licensure
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field
Compensation & Schedule
- Pay Range: $75,000 – $98,000 annually
- Hours: Full-time, Mon-Fri, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (with after-hours/on-call rotation)
- Start Date: December 1, 2025
